Songbyrd started out as a musically inspired clothing label.   Songbyrd's first creations were in preparation for Benicassim Festival in Spain in July of 2013.  These consisted of a red, cap sleeved red dress and feathered necklace in honour of The Courteeners and a skeleton ribcage backed dress to pay homage to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, who were both playing the festival that year.

 

After being chased around the festival by music lovers asking 'where did you get that dress?!' The Songbyrd concept and unique style had arrived.

 

Since then, the Kasabian Ribcage Dress has been spotted at Kasabian's massive Summer Solstice gig in 2014 at Victoria Park Leicester, where fans put their orders in for dresses for themselves and their girlfriends and asked for a men's range too.

 

The link between music and clothing are interwoven into the Songbryd concept. A concept which caters for the Indie Gliteratti, who love their music and enjoy their unique style.  The type of person that gets ready for a gig or night out listening to The Temples, Blossoms, Beady Eye, BRMC, The Charlatans, Kasabian, The Courteeners, Miles Kane, The View, Kyle Falconer, Flowered Up, Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, Blossoms, The Sherlocks, The Ks, The Smiths, Richard Ashcroft, Arctic Monkeys, Jesus and Mary Chain, Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Kinks, The Who, Miles Kane, Fontains DC.... the list goes on!
